Travelling on the CabriO cable car gives me a wonderful feeling of freedom.
The nostalgic train sets off from Stans in comfort, then the journey continues on the impressive CabriO aerial cableway. Once at the top on the most relaxing mountain, my highlight is the marvellous view on the 30-minute hiking trail, which by the way also passes a marmot hide. I would also highly rocommend a visit at the Drehrestaurant, where you can enjoy culinary specialities such as Älpermagronen. It's simply wonderful to relax and unwind.
The exciting trip up the Stanserhorn on the CabriO cableway and funicular railway, which dates back to 1893, is like taking a trip through cableway history. A 100 kilometer Alpine chain, 10 Swiss lakes, Stanserhorn rangers, marmots, a plant protection area with enchanting flora and fauna, culinary delights in the Stanserhorn revolving restaurant, the specialty Älplermagronen from an edelweiss pot and lots more are just waiting to be discovered on the Stanserhorn. 1,900 meters above everyday life – recommended by leading lazybones.
