The Art Deco Hotel Montana is located at Adligenswilerstrasse 22 in 6006 Lucerne. It is situated above the lake promenade with a beautiful view.

The Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne impresses with its location and the beautiful view over Lake Lucerne, the city of Lucerne and the mountains. The Montana is highly regarded for its great team performance and friendly staff. Another highlight are the penthouse suites with private whirlpool on the terrace.

The easiest way to get here is to take public transportation from Lucerne train station to the Casino/Palace bus station and then take the hotel's own funicular directly to the hotel lobby in 60 seconds. You find more about your arrival here. 

If you arrive by car, there is free parking in front of the hotel (subject to availability) or garage parking for CHF 28 per night (reservation required). Ten charging stations for electric cars are available.

We do not have a public wellness area or swimming pool, but certain rooms have wellness facilities such as a whirlpool, sauna, and steam bath.

Our main restaurant is the Scala Restaurant. In summer we serve on the Scala terrace.

We have a total of three bars, the Hemingway Rum Lounge, the Louis Bar and the Beach Club. In summer and when the weather is nice, the Beach Club is open, then the other bars inside are closed.

Our Louis Bar is our hotel bar with piano music, a large selection of whiskies and cocktails. Our Hemingway Rum Lounge is a cigar lounge with a large selection of rum. The Beach Club is our summer bar with a wonderful view, cocktails and snacks.

Breakfast is served in the Scala restaurant or on the terrace with a varied buffet. Depending on the room rate, breakfast is included or can be booked for CHF 35 per person.

At Restaurant Scala we serve vegetarian and vegan options. Allergies can also be specified when making a reservation.

The Scala Restaurant & Terrace has been awarded 15 points by Gault&Millau for many years. It serves southern European and Mediterranean dishes. Pasta, risotto, meat, and fish are always on the menu.

No, the famous brunch at Hotel Montana has been discontinued since 2020. We look forward to welcoming you for lunch.

Our resident pianist Otto plays every evening from Tuesday to Saturday, alternating between the bar and the Scala restaurant. In addition, every Thursday at 9 p.m. there is a jam session, a jazz evening at Louis Bar. During the winter months, you can enjoy a singer-songwriter evening every Sunday from 7:30 p.m.

Check-in is from 3 pm. Check-out is until 12 noon.

The Montana has 63 rooms, 10 of which are junior suites and suites with a private whirlpool on the balcony. We have several room categories and can find the right room for every guest. See here.
